Integrity

Lord, in matters great and small, in all areas of my life, I pray that You would help me to live a life of integrity. Help me to never violate my conscience or my heart by justifying or excusing my actions that are not honorable before You. Help me remember that it is never right to do the wrong thing, no matter what the circumstances. Help me to never compromise my integrity for personal gain of any kind.
Let my word be my bond. Let me live my life with integrity and truth. Help me, Lord, to make integrity the foundation and cornerstone of my character. Let it never be said of me that I am dishonest or that I have operated or functioned in dishonesty or deception. Let integrity be the standard that I govern my life my. Let my choices be governed not by what is best for me, but only by what is the right thing to do.
Then, Lord, give me courage and strength to always do that right thing.
Lord, I know that there will be times when i will be tempted by the enemy, by pride, or by selfishness to behave in such a manner that would compromise my integrity. Help me to always realize that anything that I exchange my integrity for costs too much, and nothing is worth that loss.
