Discouragement
"Many are the afflictions of the righteous;
but the Lord delivereth him out of them all".
Psalm 34:19
Lord, I pray in Jesus' name that You would help
everyone to overcome discouragement. Lord, I know that there is no problem too big, no hurt too deep, no mistake so bad that You cannot provide the power, strength, and wisdom to overcome it. You said in Your Word that many are the afflictions of the righteous but You will deliver them out of them all.
I ask for Your help, Lord. Give courage and discernment to overcome
any situation. Restore the joy. Help all to trust You and to cast
their cares, anxiety, and worries upon You. You tell me in Your Word that in this world
there will be tribulation but to be of good cheer for You have overcome the world. You have made
us to overcome the world. Let's refuse to let discouragement control
our lives.
Help us to replace fears with faith, doubts with belief, worries with trust, and cowardice with courage. Lord, help
us to think the right things and to focus on You and not on our problems. Help
us to rehearse Your goodness and to fill our hearts with praise and thanksgiving for all that You have done, are doing, and will do in
our lives. You have blessed us with so many wonderful blessings. Help
us to be patient in times of difficulty. Give us endurance as
we determine
to not give up, cave in, or quit. I ask You, Lord, to give us Your joy as
our strength. I have hope, confidence, and faith that You will see
us through these situations and that what the enemy has meant for evil You shall turn for good.
