"Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." ~  Ephesians 5:16

Procrastination

Dear Lord, help me to overcome procrastination.  Sometimes my duties and workload can overwhelm me, and I tend to procrastinate when I am faced with a major task before me.  You said in Your Word to redeem the time.  Whatever I do, I do it with all my might and am not tossed to and fro.  Help me to be resolute in my decisions and strong in my convictions.  Help me, Lord, to be disciplined to complete my tasks with excellence.

Lord, I choose to live my life with Your joy, and I choose to perform my duties with faithfulness.  Whatever task is before me, I will do it to the best of my ability with a heart full of Your joy.  Help me see the wisdom in performing the task at hand.  Help me see the wisdom in performing the task at hand.  Help me to not allow myself to become slothful or to become lazy in any way.  Help me, Lord, to approach every task with a can-do attitude, and help me to develop the mental discipline to not put off till tomorrow what I can do today.  I refuse to allow procrastination to control my life.

Thank You Lord.  I am free from procrastination today in Jesus' name!

Amen
