A PRAYER FOR MY CHILD'S

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Precious Lord, thank you that you never sleep.  Your watchful eye is always upon us.  I'm so grateful for that as i send my little one off for the first day of school.  Lord, I remember so well how nervous I felt on my own first day -- the butterflies in my stomach, the excitement of getting to wear new school clothes, and the uneasiness at being away from home and mom for the whole day.

I pray for a special blessing on my child today.  I pray for peach to replace any anxieties.

I pray for ease in making new friends.  I pray for a clear mind to be able to absorb all of the new things learned.  I pray for patience and understanding for the teacher, and I ask that they relate well to each other.

Thank you, Lord, that you are our perfect Father and I can rest in the knowledge that even though my child will be out of my sight, he will always be in yours.  In Jesus' name.
