"Listen"   Dear God,   We spend too much time talking and not enough time listening. I remember once while working with a group of first and second grade children in a small church Sunday school class, I had asked them to stop talking and to just listen. After a few moments I asked them to tell me what they heard. One of them quickly said even when we are quiet it was still very noisy!   Father help us today to learn to talk less and listen more, with each other, and with You. Help us to show those around us that their viewpoints and ideas are valuable and we care what they have to say. I believe that many problems would cease to exist if we could learn to listen as well as we have learned to speak!   In Jesus name I pray,   Amen     "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry."   James 1:19
